Outlook Express POP Mail Client Setup
If using another ISP see Secure E-mail Access. You can only access our mail server from the "outside world" if you use secure mail protocols.
Open Outlook Express. Click Tools -> Accounts.
Click the Mail Tab. Highlight the Account and click the Properties button.
On the General Tab fill in your name and email address.
Fill in the organization if you wish.
On the Servers Tab, use mail.sonoracomm.com for both POP3 and SMTP servers.
Your Account name is generally the part of your email address before the @ sign.

This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
, then your Account name is jsmith.
Be sure to select "My server requires authentication"...the days of wide-open mail servers is long gone!
If you see this box, choose " Use same settings..."
Do not select Log on using Secure Password Authentication.
These settings will work if Sonora Communications is your ISP, and probably on most other mail servers.
